Project: Shepherd of the Hills Catholic Church
Location: Eden, WI
Specifiers: Shea Electric
Manning Rep: Enterprise Lighting

Like many churches, Shepherd of the Hills had some lighting problems. Bright spots and shadows over the pews made reading difficult. And frequent replacement of their light fixture’s halogen bulbs was a maintenance headache. Their electrical contractor, Shea Electric, contacted Manning Lighting about a new LED fixture solution. The result exceeded expectations. “The light levels are so even across the space it’s amazing. We are very happy with the outcome of this all around as is the customer,” said Chris Hopf, Project Manager.

The primary Manning fixture used is the “Aston” pendant. Its 96 watts are less than 20% of the previous fixture’s 500 watt halogen. And the CREE LED paired with a highly efficient silicone diffuser provide a wide 80-degree distribution for optimal coverage and minimal glare. The church also opted to upgrade their spotlight fixtures with Manning’s GCR-064 LED retrofit kit for even better efficiency and maintenance benefits.
